The pope reel main purpose to eliminate banging and jolting under higher speed operation , our reel make up overhead storage rail for empty spool roll, primary arm by pneumatic cylinder activated hook and secondary arms to load the paper log against the reel drum, then eject the log to brake position.

▶           Double nip loading occurs when both the primary arm hooks and the secondary arms are in contact with the spool at the same time, is controlled by time delay relay pressure switch – keep this double loading time to a minimum.

▶           The secondary arms holding spool roll to contact with drum reel by air cylinders, one front and one back for same drag to locate turnbuckle on the backside aligning shaft connecting the secondary arms to the cross shaft to assure load an empty spool against the reel drum with the secondary arms loading at nearly zero psi air pressure.

▶           The function of pope reel are important for torque and tension to assure the front and back sides at the same loading under high speed operation at good performance.
